You will also be invited to complete a short anonymous questionnaire on how you feel about your health. The results will contribute to discussions at a Driver Health Conference at Loughborough University the following day.

Your questions answered…

What is happening?
We’re inviting you to visit our FREE drop-in health and wellbeing pop-up taking place at Warwick Services Southbound between 8am and 2pm on Thursday 3 September.

Who is it for?
It is for lorry drivers and other commercial drivers using the services that day.

Do I need to book?
No. Just visit the pop-up when convenient for you.

Can I have a health check?
Yes. D4 Drivers will be offering brief health checks for drivers who choose to take part. The check is optional, and the team will explain what is involved when you arrive.

What else will be available?
The team will offer practical information and signposting on tiredness and sleep, mental wellbeing, healthy eating and occupational health.

Will I be asked questions about my health?
You will be invited to complete a short questionnaire about how you feel about your health and wellbeing. It is voluntary and anonymous, so you can choose whether to take part.

Why are you collecting this information?
The anonymous responses will help build a clearer picture of the health and wellbeing issues affecting professional drivers. They will be used to inform discussion at the Driver Health Conference at Loughborough University on Friday 4 September.

Why does this matter?
Long hours, demanding schedules and time away from home can affect health, alertness and safety. Supporting driver wellbeing can help support healthier working lives and safer journeys.

Who is organising it?
Project EDWARD, D4 Health, Warwickshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner and Welcome Break are working together to deliver the event.
