Introduction

The Project EDWARD week of action will take place earlier this year from Monday 15th to Friday 19th May. These dates align with the United Nations Global Week of Action for Road Safety. The three legs of the road trip will crisscross the country from Monday to Friday visiting the very best examples of road safety projects. Along the way, some of the most influential thought leaders in road safety will be invited to come along for the ride and join the team ‘on the road’ to share their insights and experience. In addition to the road trip stops, contributions will come in from all four corners of the United Kingdom as we feature projects from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Daily broadcasts

A professionally-edited programme will be broadcast each evening containing highlights of each day’s activities.

Webinars

Supporting the week of action will be a series of webinars with the country’s leading experts focusing on some of the most essential road safety challenges.

Social Media

Throughout the day, progress reports featuring projects, partners and guests will be posted each day on the Project EDWARD social media channels to promote the evening broadcast.

In 2022, Project EDWARD posts achieved over 42 million impressions in the feeds of over 10 million social media users.

Campaign media packs will be produced for all partners and projects with hints and tips for making the most of your involvement in the 2022 campaign and engaging local news media. The Project EDWARD team will also be coordinating extensive PR activity at a national level.
